At present, Seminis has more than 4000 varieties of 60 vegetable crops to offer and is the largest seed producer in the world capable of meeting the demands of the most exacting vegetable growers. Before being packaged and delivered to customers, each seed lot is to pass rigid testing to meet the strict seed quality standards of the Quality Assurance department. At the company's seed laboratories around the world, hundreds of thousands of germination tests are run annually to assess seed germination capacity using advanced evaluation techniques. Annually, in excess of 1000 of the company's varieties and hybrids are tested on experimental fields in the Ukraine.
