A new mid-early maturing eggplant hybrid with a very high yield potential. The strong, upright plant has short internodes. The oval-shaped, superior-quality fruit are very uniform and seedless. The flesh shows good resistance to souring. The fruit skin is glossy deep purple-black. Very good fruit set. Resistant to Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). Planting density: 16,000 - 20,000 pl/ha. Being a widely adaptable hybrid, Clorinda is an excellent choice for stake and trellis culture in glasshouses, plastic film greenhouses, tunnels, as well as for open-field cultivation.
