Kariba F₁ 

A mid-season eggplant hybrid with a very high yield potential. Vigorous, upright plants with an open habit provide good foliage cover. Round-oval, dark purple, extra large (averaging 600-700 g in weight, depending on the culture) fruits are highly uniform in shape and color. The flesh is white. Seeds are few. Fruits hold well after picking. Highly tolerant to heat. Fruits retain dark coloration even when exposed to extremely high temperatures. Excellent fruit setting ensures high yields. Resistant to Tobacco mosaic virus. Planting density is 16,000-25,000 pl/ha. Suitable for cultivation in plastic film greenhouses and in the open field. Growing technology.
