Lettuce of the Grand Rapid type. Is noted for its rapid growth, excellent eating quality and good storability. The leaves are erect, thick, slightly crinkled, of nice green color. Easy to harvest and pack. Resistant to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae, Races 1-23, 25) and to Lettuce Mosaic Virus. Tolerant to bolting. Suitable for open-field and protected culture, including hydroponics. The recommended plant density is 80,000–100,000 plants per hectare. |
