Chateau F₁ 

A long-day onion hybrid with early mid-season maturity. When direct seeded in the open field, produces bulbs within a single crop season. The bulbs are very firm, with a trim neck and excellent scale retention. The outer scales have an attract-ive dark bronze color. The bulbs are very uniform, medium to jumbo in size, globe-shaped and weigh up to 600 g. Resistant to Fusarium basal rot and Pink root rot (IR). Suitable for fresh market and processing. Particularly well suited to long storage. Is recommended for cultivation by transplanting and direct seeding in all growing areas of the Ukraine and Moldova. Growing technology.
