An early-maturing hybrid with an open plant habit. The complete physiological ripeness is 65-70 days after transplanting. The plant is approximately 51-61 cm in height. King Arthur is noted for its unusual earliness combined with large fruit size. Sets well in heat. High-quality fruit at both industrial and physiological ripeness. A highly productive hybrid. Produces blocky 3-4 lobed fruit averaging 11 x 11 cm in size. Resistant to tobacco mosaic virus (Tobamovirus P0, P1, P1.2), Potato virus Y (PVY), tobacco etch virus (TEV) and bacterial black spot.
